USING BLACK IN YOUR WATERCOLOURS

Black is really a non-colour..it doesn't add any zip to your paintings. Making your own black from Winsor Red, Winsor Blue and Winsor Green gives you a lively, vibrant dark. You can make it a red/black, blue/black, green/black depending on how much of each colour you use. I like to put some darks behind my main subject to give it some punch.
