Living on the West Coast we don't get much snow but I remember it well :) I was given this refernce photo to paint and I really enjoyed doing the birch trees. The bare branches were more of a challenge and not sure they look quite right. I painted some of them negatively and some I used misket. I never like misket because they leave such a hard line. Just today's exercise :)

I've been looking through lots of your pieces - beautiful. This piece really grabs me with how you have captured the light coming through the trees and on the branches themselves. This is really stunning. Now.... time for me to get out my own paints... ;-)
