This is another watercolor/acrylic combinatiuon. I scanned this piece and the gold doesn't show up as it should, however, it had a broze look to it. This painting has sold .. matted in bronze and framed in a black frame.
Congratulations on the sale Ruth. I like gold in paintings too and have been thinking about doing something with a small amount of gold leaf. Have you tried that?
No Ellie, I haven't, but there are local artists here that use it and it is something I think we could use to our advantage. It always adds a bit of "umph"

ReplyDeleteRuth, I love the stamps and the texture beneath the painting. Did you paint this on gesso? Your paintings are really lovely.
