I wanted to get away from the soft, pastel background and tried something new.
The roses were white but decided to give them a little more colour.

I love to paint roses..they are so delicate. I used to have over 100 rosebushes but since we have downsized I only have a precious few. I usually take my camera when I go out since you never know when you will see a wonderful painting before you!
