IRIS COLLAGE

I love combining my watercolours with papers, stamping and interesting designs.

I began by painting the irises leaving the right side blank...then I added Japanese rice papers, gold stamping and painting behind the iris in black acrylic.  The gold doesn't show up very well in the photo but the right side has a beautiful pattern of gold running through it.

I picked up some gorgeous rice papers this weekend with a new project in mind. It will be part watercolour and part different papers.

I love doing collages.. I am trying to get some new interesting work for the Studio Tour the end of October. October tour is always busier than the June one.. people are shopping for Christmas already by then.
