Homemade soup, hot cups of coffee all seem better once the damp, cold weather sets in. Our rainy season here on Vancouver Island is November to Feb. We get very little rainfall in the summer so our huge old growth trees need the November rain.
Even the library seems busier.. people settling in with a good book beside the fireplace.
This is the time of year I print out the photos I took this past summer and see which ones are potential paintings. It seems I have a lot of florals and houses on the camera this time.
Our Christmas Artisan Show is on until Dec. 22nd and we have 50 artists in the show this year, everything from jewellery, wood carving, glass, pottery, knitting, quilting and wonderful paintings. It has been very well attended so far with very good sales. The group of artists try and offer a quality, handmade product at a reasonable price. We are blessed with very gifted artisans in this area.
These are a few of my gift items made using my original paintings. Trays, coasters, mousepads, eye glass cases, trivots are just a few..
