This is my first attempt at painting with acrylics using the techniques outlined in Charles Harrington Workshop this week. "Using Acrylics like Watercolors". It was frustrating but fun!

  1. Dear Ruth,
Very interesting! I've never tried acrylics. Ah, if you were a next door, I wish I could ask you to have a chat over your painting with a cuppa.
    Kind regards, Sadami

  2. For a first, you did quite well :) How is it different from, and what is same as watercolors? I just inherited a set of acrylics from a friend and have not tried it out yet....

  3. This was done in a workshop...his unique style was to use acrylics like watercolor...instead of water he used mat medium to thin and spread the paint.

Building from light to dark. I have tried one since and it wasn't quite so easy for some reason.
